Co-creation and citizen participation

The Hospital del Mar Research Institute is committed to co-creation and citizen participation in medical research.

Co-creation is a recognition of the importance of the contribution of patients, families, health professionals and citizens to the identification and development of new medical solutions that improve people's health. By integrating a diversity of perspectives into research projects, our Institute seeks to position itself to respond more effectively to today's health challenges by ensuring alignment between the Institute's goals and objectives and the needs and priorities of the community it serves.

The various ways to participate in the co-creation of our activity include: citizen participation in clinical studies and observational trials, sharing experiences and perspectives in discussion groups, helping to disseminate the work and benefits of the Institute's research to society, etc.
