Sala Ramón y Cajal (Plaça interior PRBB) a les 12 hores
En el marc de les sessions del Programa de neurociències, el proper divendres dia 30 de gener a les 12:00 hores tindrà lloc a la Sala Ramón y Cajal (pati interior del PRBB) la sessió que porta per títol "The molecular mechanisms of memory persistence: imaging how single synapses learn in real time" impartida pel Dr. Miquel Bosch, investigador de The Picower Institute for Learning and Memory. Dept. of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. MIT. Cambridge, USA.
Research
Structural and Molecular Reorganization of Synapses during Learning and Memory
I am interested in the molecular basis of learning, memory and neurological diseases. My current research is focused on understanding how the structural and molecular remodeling of dendritic spines determine the rules of synaptic plasticity. Using optical techniques such as 2-photon imaging, uncaging, photoactivation, photolocalization, FLIM, optogenetics, etc., I visualize postsynaptic proteins dynamics during single-spine LTP. I also study the structural plasticity of spines during LTD in mouse models of autism-related disorders.
