Project title:

Development of a personalized therapy for p62 haploinsufficiency in SQSTM1 in patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ICI24/00028)

Research group / Service:

Systems neurology and neurotherapeutics group

Description:

The selected person will join the Systems neurology and neurotherapeutics group (Neurosciences research program).

Task:

Efficient differentiation of iPSCs to neurons, following established protocols or developing new methods. - Characterization of differentiated cells using techniques such as immunocytochemistry, qPCR, and analysis of neuronal markers (TuJ1, MAP2, NeuN). - Quality control of cell cultures, including microscopy, proliferation, cell viability and neuronal function tests. - Support in research projects focused on neuronal differentiation and its application to neurodegenerative disease models. - Collaboration with researchers in the design and execution of experiments. - Maintaining accurate experiment records and data analysis.

Formation:

Degree in Biochemistry and Master's Degree in Cell Manufacturing and Therapy.

Experience:

Experience in the management and culture of pluripotent stem cells, preferably derived from human iPSCs, will be valued. Experience in the differentiation of iPSCs into neurons and their characterization. Knowledge of cell reprogramming and differentiation techniques. Experience in the use of molecular and cellular analysis tools such as RT-qPCR, Western Blot, FACS, and fluorescence microscopy.

Knowledge:

Es valorarà la familiaritat amb protocols de bones pràctiques de laboratori (BPL) i manteniment d'entorns estèrils. Capacitat per treballar en equip, amb habilitats organitzatives i de gestió del temps.
