Project title:

Real-World Data and Evidence Analytics in Healthcare

Research group / Service:

Integrative biomedical informatics research group

Description:

The selected person will join the Integrative biomedical informatics research group (Biomedical informatics research program).

Task:

Participation in the development, management, review and analysis of clinical research and epidemiological studies in network environments and federated analysis, in the use of standardized vocabularies and in the harmonization of clinical data. Participation in project meetings, in the activities of communication of results, in scientific publications and in the Data Unit of Hospital del Mar.

Formation:

Degree in Psychology and PhD in Biomedicine.

Experience:

A minimum of 15 years of experience in funded European projects. Experience as a researcher and principal investigator in federated networks for clinical studies, covering all phases of clinical study development, including protocol review, ethics committee approval, analysis, interpretation, and result dissemination. Participation in applying and using biomedical standards in the European Medicines Agency initiatives such as DARWIN EU and European projects such as EHDEN for observational studies using real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE). University-level teaching experience in Biostatistics and Biomedical Informatics.

Knowledge:

Proficiency in managing biomedical databases and analyzing clinical data using R programming and tools from Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI). Familiarity with the Catalan healthcare system and electronic medical records in both primary and hospital care (specific knowledge of IMASIS is highly valued). Strong communication, organizational, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills are essential. Languages: Spanish, and C1 levels in English and Catalan.

Additional information:

Training in machine learning, bioinformatics tools, and advanced postgraduate training in biostatistics.
