Description:

The selected person will join the Intercellular communication in cancer and ageing research group (Cancer research program).

Task:

Completion of the doctoral thesis. Scientific experimental techniques in the context of the associated project. Microbiota analysis and neurodegenerative disease characterization. Microbiome sequencing and analysis, mRNA expression analysis, histopathology, flow cytometry, microscopy, neural cell culture.

Formation:

Degree in Biotechnology and Master of Translational Biomedical Research

Experience:

Mandatory to have previous experience in the tasks indicated on this offer and to have been working in an international research environment.

Knowledge:

Mandatory to have knowledge of laboratory techniques: microbiome analysis, mRNA expression studies, neural cell culture, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, molecular biology techniques and other techniques to study cellular effects (viability, proliferation, apoptosis). Fluent English and computer skills at Office and Internet user level are required.

Additional information:

Experience in preparing scientific publications, autonomy in experimental design and interpretation of the results will be evaluated positively. We are looking for a person with the ability to work in a team with an interdisciplinary research approach combining microbiota analysis and neurodegenerative diseases, mandatory to have spent a stay abroad. A letter of admission to the doctoral program must be submitted. This contract is subject to the granting of aid.
