This project is a study on the characterization of genomic complexity in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia treated with targeted therapies.
Joanna Kamaso, a predoctoral researcher at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute, has received one of the 10 grants awarded by the Fundación Española de Hematología y Hemoterapia (FEHH) for research projects at state institutions. The grant award ceremony took place during the 66th Congress of the Sociedad Española de Hematología y Hemoterapia, held in Palma de Mallorca from October 26 to 28.
The grant will support the development of the project titled "Characterization of Genomic Complexity in CLL Patients Treated with Targeted Therapies: Extension of the Real-Life COMPLEX Study," under the guidance of Dr. Blanca Espinet and Dr. Anna Puiggros. Joanna Kamaso is part of the Translational Research Group in Hematologic Neoplasms (GRETNHE), led by Dr. Espinet.
The goal of these grants is to promote research in the field of hematology and hemotherapy. These grants aim to foster the research careers of new talents and facilitate their integration into specialized hematology units.
